Del Mar Photonics® Lasers and Related Accessories

Del Mar Photonics designs and manufactures a complete line of femtosecond lasers and related accessories used for research, educational and industrial applications. Del Mar Photonics base systems include the Trestles Ti:sapphire and Mavericks Cr:forsterite ultrafast laser oscillators and amplifiers. In addition, Del Mar Photonics sells a wide range of related products at very competitive costs including: Faraday isolators, pulse measurement devices, wavelength conversion modules, near infrared viewers, and bulk optics.

We recognize that not all customers have the same application needs or laser experience and we tailor each system for a specific customer. Del Mar Photonics laser systems are built on an open architecture design allowing customers to adjust their system for changing applications and technological advances. This open design format allows us to offer our base systems at a very low price and then add components and functionality on a per customer basis. We offer complete system installation and on-site training to our customers.

Del Mar Photonics ultrafast lasers are currently used in companies, universities, and research foundations in many global markets including research, education, biomedical imaging, spectroscopy, defense, and materials processing.

Spectral phase interferometry for direct electric-field reconstruction (SPIDER) is one technique that can recover the spectral phase of an input pulse, without needing any reference pulse. The Jaws multi-terawatt laser system is the first commercially available terawatt pulse laser operatingi in the near infrared at 1240 nm. The Mavericks-65 Cr:forsterite laser is tunable over wavelengths from 1230 to 1270 nm, making it ideal for imaging, condensed matter and biomedical applications. As the name implies pulse pickers are used to selectively pick off pulses from the pulse train of a femtosecond or picosecond laser. The new third-order cross-correlator was specifically developed for measuring a wide array of output parameters from ultrafast laser systems including: contrast ratio of laser pulses, determining pulse pedestal, pre- and post-pulses, and amplified spontaneous emission in femtosecond systems.

Femtosecond pulsed lasers are used in a growing number of applications in physics and the life sciences including material processing, multiphoton imaging, pump-probe spectroscopy and parametric generation. Oscillator Kits; Femtosecond Oscillators; Complete Femtosecond Systems Del Mar Photonics optical isolators are designed to attenuate reflected or backscattered light by several orders of magnitude, by taking advantage of the Faraday Effect. Near-field Scanning Optical Microscope (NSOM) is a versatile tool for nano-characterization and nanomanufacturing. Del Mar Photonics autocorrelators have been specifically designed to measure the width of pulses from femtosecond lasers.

Trestles series Ti:sapphire femtosecond lasers from Del Mar Photonics have been designed as low-cost and reliable devices for ultrafast applications or for seeding Ti:sapphire amplifier systems such as our Wedge Series multipass and regenerative amplifiers . The Wedge-M multipass amplifier system has been designed as an effective device for the amplification of femtosecond pulses from a Ti:sapphire femtosecond laser.
