Glan Prisms
Glan Prism is made of two air-spaced calcite prisms. The strong calcite bi-refringes provides a high degree of transmitted beam p-polarization.

Brewster prism
Brewster prism working at Brester angle minimizes losses in the transmitted beam p-polarized component. They are used in polarization photometers, spectrophotometers, polarimeters, for wavelength selection, and laser output tuning.

Beam displacer
Due to its extremal bi-refringence, calcite beam displacer produces two displaced from each other by a precise distance orthogonal lineary polarized ouput beams. There is no angular separation.
