Right Angle Prisms
Right angle prisms are routinely used in a variety of applications for light beam
deflection or as substrates for cube beamsplitters. If the light enters normally to the prism
leg face, it is totally internally reflected at the hyphotenuse face and emerges normally to the
second leg face. If the light enters normally to the hypothenuse face, it is totally internally reflected
at two leg faces and leaves prism in oppositedirection (180o beam deflection).
Right angle prisms may be coated and uncoated. Other dimensions are also available.
