Vacuum Engineering Software VacMaster 2.0® for Windows 98/2000/Me/XP
 |
VacMaster 2.0® software is intended for calculations and analysis of lab and
industrial vacuum chamber pumping. The software works for the pressure range from 760 torr to an ultimate pressure
defined either by selected vacuum pump specifications, or by outgassing processes in vacuum.
VacMaster 2.0® works in
Windows 98/2000/Me/XP operating systems.
VacMaster 2.0® software describes two pumping modes - Rough Pumping
mode: the pressure range from 760 torr to 10-4 torr (or to selected roughing pump ultimate pressure) and
High Vacuum Pumping mode: the pressure range from selected high vacuum pump start pressure to ultimate
pressure (defined by outgassing processes) |
1. VacMaster 2.0® software describes six pumping runs selected by user:
- Rough pumping with mechanical pump;
- Rough pumping with mechanical and Roots pumps;
- Rough pumping with Roots pumping system;
- High vacuum pumping with diffusion pump;
- High vacuum pumping with turbomolecular pump;
- High vacuum pumping with cryo pump.
2.
VacMaster 2.0® software prompts to select the vacuum chamber from the
following types:
- Bell Jar chamber;
- Cylindrical chamber;
- Box chamber;
- Sphere chamber;
- Arbitrary chamber.
For the first four chambers you must enter the linear chamber dimensions. The software calculates the chamber's
volume and surface area. In case of an arbitrary chamber you must first to calculate the volume and surface area and
enter the values.
3. To take into account the chamber walls outgassing (
High Vacuum Pumping mode only) you must
select the chamber material from the included material database.
4. Users select the vacuum pump from the database for each pumping mode. In the case of
High Vacuum Pumping,
the software prompts you to estimate a required pumping speed to reach required ultimate pressure for a given gas flow.
5. For
Rough Pumping mode,
VacMaster 2.0® prompts you to enter the roughing
pipe dimensions (diameter, length, and number of bends).
VacMaster 2.0® calculates
the efficiency of the vacuum pump and roughing pipe combination.
6. For
High Vacuum Pumping mode you enter up to eight high vacuum system components: four nipples, elbow, gate
valve, baffle, and conductance controller.
VacMaster 2.0® ensures that your design meets the general vacuum system
design principles and will not accept general errors.
7. The software takes into account a gas load in the
High Vacuum Pumping mode. In addition, you can control and change
the conductance of your designed vacuum system.
VacMaster 2.0® warns you when pumping
parameters are out of the accepted for selected pump ranges, and gives corresponding recommendations.
8. You can replace selected pumps and designed vacuum system components during the analysis.
9.
VacMaster 2.0® presents the main results as the following plots:
- For Rough Pumping mode: Chamber Pressure vs. Pumping Time P(t); Roughing Pipe Conductance vs. Chamber Pressure C(P);
and Efficiency Diagram of the Mechanical Pump and Roughing Pipe Combination;
- For High Vacuum Pumping mode: Chamber Pressure vs. Pumping Time Pcham(t); High Vacuum Pump Inlet Flange Pressure vs.
Pumping Time Pin(t); High Vacuum Component Conductance vs. Pressure C(P); and Pumping Speed at the Vacuum Chamber Outlet
Flange vs. Chamber Pressure Seff.
Besides
VacMaster 2.0® presents a few important extra results.
10.
VacMaster 2.0® software uses units common to vacuum technique (torr, cm,
liters, etc). For other units, the user can easily convert them with the help of a
Units Converter included in the
software.
11. Results may be saved as:
- Project file. It is saved in VacMasters' own format, VCM. This file contents the project data, and may be opened
only by VacMaster 2.0® software;
- Project data file is saved in TXT format. This file contains the numeric plot data as a table and may be used
in other applications supporting TXT format: (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microcalc Origin, etc.);
- Report file is saved in HTML format. This file contains a general information about analyzed process
including plots. Report file may be used in any software supporting HTML format. You can also print this file
directly from VacMaster 2.0®. There is a simple browser included in VacMaster 2.0®
software to browse and print report files.

Materials Optical Dispersion Data Browser nkViewer 1.2®

The nkViewer 1.2® software is intended for materials optical dispersion data (refraction index
n(λ) and absorption coefficient k(hν)) representation. It also allows calculate n and k by commonly used dispersion formulas
- Sellmeier, Cauchy, Hartmann, Laurent.
The nkViewer 1.2® software represents saved or calculated optical dispersion data both as data
table and as plots n(λ) and k(λ), or n(hν) and k(hν). There is only one argument (wavelength λ or photon
energy hν) saved in the data file; software calculates the values of second argument. Software allows print plots and copy them to
clipboard for using with another Windows applications.
Optical dispersion data are saved in a separate for each material file created by nkVewer 1.2® or
manually by an user.The data files are plane text files which may be as created by an user, as taken from other sources. You have just
to edit or add first three lines to make any text optical dispersion data file accessible for nkVewer 1.2®.
The nkViewer 1.2® data files may be easy opened in other Windows applications (Microsoft Word,
Microsoft Excel, Microcalc Origin and others).
Download nkViewer 1.2® free demo (15 runs evaluation period).
