Vladimir Chutko a.k.a. Vladimir Tchoutko, Ph.D. and President of VECOR, has over 32 years of experience in optical industry and in vacuum coating, ion beam and plasma equipment design and development.

Vladimir Chutko has received his Master degree from Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys, Semiconductor Materials and Devices Department, Russia, and Ph.D. degree (thesis "Ion Beam Figuring of High Precise Big Dimensional Optical Components") from Leningrad institute of Fine Mechanics and Optics, Russia. Prior he worked for the leading Russian optical companies Central Design Bureau "Astrophysika", PO "Krasnogorskyi Zavod", Research Centre "Kurchatov's Institute", Russian Shield Ltd, and for Reynard Corp., USA, occupying positions from leading engineer to the head of vacuum manufacturing department. Vladimir Chutko is one of the leading Russian experts in ion beam figuring of big dimensional precise optical components. He designed and manufactured about 20 ion sources for technological applications (ion beam figuring and ion beam assistance), developed and designed the ion beam figuring machine and technologies which have been used in high precise optical components production. Vladimir Chutko has intensive experience in coating production development, organization and management. Also he is an expert in vacuum engineering (author of VacMaster 1.0 and VacMaster 2.0 vacuum engineering software), optical coating technologies, optical quality control, and in magnetron sputtering technologies and equipment.

Vladimir Chutko is author or one of the authors of more than 30 papers published in high-rating refereed journals and in conference proceedings, technical reports, and 6 patents. He is SPIE and AVS member.

His family - wife Alla, financial expert, and son Oleg, 27, Ph.D., specialized in femtosecond laser radiation interaction with matter and LabVIEW programming. At present Oleg works for National Instruments Corp. representative in Russia.
